This Policy is intended to comply with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its Implementing Regulations and other applicable Saudi laws and regulations.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed through the KURO website and its website-based forms and tracking technologies.

It does not govern:

  • information processed entirely offline at the café;
  • employee or job-applicant information;
  • CCTV footage;
  • third-party websites, platforms or applications that have their own privacy policies; or
  • information processed independently by Google, Meta, Instagram, TikTok or other third-party platforms after you leave the KURO website.

3. Personal Data We Collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

When you submit feedback, contact us or otherwise communicate with KURO, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your phone number, when provided;
  • the content of your feedback, request or communication;
  • the date and time of your communication; and
  • any other information that you choose to provide.

Please do not submit sensitive personal data, payment-card details, identity documents, medical information or confidential information through the website feedback form.

When you use the website, we and our approved service providers may collect:

  • referring page or advertising source;

KURO does not currently use feedback-form contact details for email or SMS marketing. Separate consent will be requested before introducing any direct-marketing use.

  • feedback and contact-form data: up to 24 months after the last relevant interaction;
  • general customer communications: up to 24 months;
  • website security and technical logs: up to 12 months;
  • KURO-controlled analytics data: up to 14 months;
  • cookie-consent and preference records: up to 24 months; and
  • legal or regulatory records: for the period required by applicable law.

Third-party platforms may apply their own retention periods as described in their privacy policies.

When personal data is no longer needed, it will be deleted, anonymised or securely destroyed, subject to lawful retention requirements.

To exercise a right, email hello@thekurocafe.com using the subject line “Privacy Request”. Your request should explain the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for KURO to verify your identity and locate the relevant data.

KURO will normally respond without undue delay and within 30 days. Where permitted by law and the request requires unusual effort or involves multiple requests, this period may be extended by an additional 30 days, and you will be informed of the reason.

Requests are generally processed without charge unless applicable law permits otherwise.

13. Complaints

Privacy concerns should first be submitted to hello@thekurocafe.com using the subject “Privacy Complaint”.

You may also submit a complaint to the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority through the National Data Governance Platform where you believe your rights under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law have been violated.

14. Children’s Privacy

The website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal data from children.

Persons under 18 should not submit personal data without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Where KURO learns that personal data was submitted by a child without appropriate authorisation, KURO will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. External Links and Embedded Content

The website may contain links to or content from Google Maps, Google Business Profile, Instagram, TikTok, Meta and other third-party services.

Those third parties may collect information independently under their own privacy policies. KURO is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or platforms.

KURO may update this Privacy Policy when its website, services, technologies or legal obligations change.

The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through a website notice.
